"We reached at Khansar on receiving information that an army vehicle met an accident at 2:00 am, but we did not found anyone in the vehicle.
During the search of vehicle we found 1256 kgs of good quality hashish, and three kalashnikoves with 90 bullets, and a pistol of 30 bore with 12 bullets and five uniforms of major ranks and forged number plates," said Raja Mushtaq Ahmed, District Police Officer Bhakkar, while talking to this correspondent on phone on Sunday.
He said that the vehicle was going to Muzaffargarh from Mianwali with this huge drug consignment but it met an accident and the drug smugglers ran away before reaching the Police at site.
He further said that an organised gang of drug smugglers was using military coloured vehicles with fake number plates for the transportation of drugs to Punjab.
